Classes at Rhythm Academy began in April 2007 with six students and have grown to embrace many more since.
Classes are held twice a week for each batch in which students are being trained. During the pandemic, classes shifted to online formats immediately; however, classes were brought in-person as soon as it became safe to do so. As of date, classes occur in a blended mode—both in-person and online!
The teaching pedagogy at Rhythm Academy contains components of shruti-dristi-smriti (hear-see-imbibe), which was inspired by the conventional Guru-Shishya parampara of imparting knowledge. For its students, Rhythm Academy is a second home, a nurturing creative haven.
The core of the Indian classical dance experience is our ancient epics, stories, and mythology, which Namrata also introduces to her pupils.
The growing number of National Scholarship recipients under the HRD Ministry, New Delhi, who serve as examples of Namrata's effective teaching techniques make Rhythm Academy extremely proud.
